Are You the Reason for Your Lack of Success?

Have you ever noticed when playing a video game, or even working on a computer software program, that you sometimes wish it would go somewhere or do a particular task, but no matter what you do it won't do it.

Take a video game, for example. I remember playing the first Mario Brother's game on Nintendo back in the early nineties. My friends would laugh about how I would hold the controller when pushing down the "B" button for Mario to run faster and then pressing the "A" button to jump.

There was a jump at the end of a section to get a flag and then slide down the pole. My friends told me that it was possible to jump over the pole. Of all the times I tried, and tried, I still was not able to jump over the pole. However, the game was designed to jump on top of the flagpole and bring it down, not to jump over it. That is how the developers designed it. No matter what you did, or how fast you were going you could not jump over the pole. The developers basically said this is how far Mario will be able to jump.

Taking the above example of being limited by the developers of the video game, we too limit ourselves by our beliefs. And if you have limiting beliefs, no matter what you do, you will NOT be able to get past them unless you change your beliefs. You can try and try, just like I was trying to jump the flagpole on the Mario Brother's video game, but if you have limiting belief you will continue to get the same results.

So how do you change the results?

Just like the programmers would have to go back and redesign the video game codes, you have to go back and do some reprogramming yourself. What are you going to be looking for? Your beliefs!

If you believe it is hard to make money, then money WILL be hard for YOU to make. If you hold on to this belief, you will continue to find yourself in hard times trying to make money. Then you will continue to hold onto the belief that money is hard to come by. I personally believe it is extremely easy to make money. So, I continue to be amazed at how easy it is to make money, especially on the internet.

What other belief do you have? What beliefs do you have about starting a business, investing in real estate, starting an online business, Marriage, relationships, money, etc?

If you find yourself in the same situation over and over again, this is a good indication that you have programmed yourself by watching TV, the news, from family, friends, the media, the music you listen to, to believe in the limitation. You have a desire for money.  However, you keep finding yourself having no money.

If you are tired of not living your life to the fullest by accomplishing your goals, having good relationships with your family, or spouse, not living your dreams, then you owe it to yourself to sit down and write out your beliefs, because then you will know what kind of programming you are dealing with. Once you know your beliefs, then you can go back and change the beliefs that are holding you back.

Do this by yourself, for yourself. You don't have to show anyone your beliefs. However, this is the time to be honest with your self. This is for you! You can literally set yourself free and be as successful as you desire. But if you have been wanting to be successful for a long time and nothing has happened, then you need to be honest with yourself and say something is not right here.

Give it a shot, and see your life change.

A Simple Solution for Accomplishing Any Goal

Have you ever had someone ask you to do some thing and then later forget about what they told you to do?

One night, my wife and I had some friends from out of town come by. They were making a road trip out of a company-sponsored event that he worked for and it happened to be in the town we live in.

My wife and I were planning to go camping that weekend and it was great to have them call and tell us they were going to be in town and were thinking about going camping too, after his golfing tournament.

So, in the afternoon our wives went out to reserve our camping spot, and I stayed back to take care of some business and to wait for my friend who was at the golf tournament.

Later that day, my wife called me and asked me to get three items. One, get the dog leash, two, get the Bar-B-Q, and I could not remember what the third item was. I thought about it and I just could not remember what it was.

So, I went about getting other things done. Then all of a sudden not more than an hour later the answer came to me. The third item was firewood. The answer came to me without any effort.

This is a great example of how to accomplish any goal, and that is; when you have stated your goal (intention) and you don't know what to do next, don't do anything! The answer will come to you when you just ALLOW it to come to you.

This is so hard for many people. We are so programmed to be doers. We have an inner dialog that is going on inside our head that is telling us DO SOMETHING, work hard, get going, start now and in reality the best thing to do is nothing.

When you feel led to do some thing, then go for it. Full force!

How many decisions have you made that you have regretted later for not having waited for some more time. . Sometimes the decision that is made makes things worse.

So, the simple solution to accomplishing any goal is to; state your intention - write it down, say it out loud, then ask yourself, how can this be done? Then let it go and ALLOW the answer to come to you.

If you have experienced forgetting some thing and then remembering it out of the blue, then you have the power to accomplish all your goals and dreams, and this is what Activate Your Potential Institute is all about; helping you to discover you have everything you need to accomplish every goal or dream you have. You're that amazing!

4 Qualities of Highly Successful People

What if you can be, do or have anything you want, what would you desire in your life?

Now do you believe it can happen? Yes. No. In the words of Henry Ford, “If you think you can do a thing or think you can't do a thing, you're right.”

Well then what actually happens for those people who do seem to get everything they desire?

Let’s take a closer look.

For one, they know what they want. They do not give up when what they want does not happen. They keep moving forward. Everything they do is a success, because they don’t see the results they are getting as failure. They are more educated and know what works and what doesn’t. They press on!

They are focused. If you have ever seen any professional sports players you know what focused people look like. Take a football player for example. I will use a line backer for this example. A line backer has to know where the runner is going and he has got to make split decisions as to what he is going to do. He is not thinking about what he is going to eat for dinner, he is not thinking about what his kids are doing, or what his next vacation is going to be. No, he is thinking about reading the runner and getting to the point where the runner is going to be and tackling him.

What are you thinking about throughout the day? What do you think 30 days of focus would do for you in accomplishing your goal? I think it could have a huge impact.

They know how to separate what is and what is not important. We have so many decisions to make everyday. We sometimes lose track of what day it is because of the number of things that we think about everyday. How many times have you started to work on something, and then you get a call from a friend to go out for lunch. You know you need to finish what you are doing. However, you find yourself saying, well, I have not seen my friend in two weeks, but I need to get this done. You then decide to go out to lunch with your friend and end up spending more time at lunch than you wanted. So now you are behind and have to stay late at the office and miss your child’s game.

When you are able to separate what is important from what is not, you will find yourself accomplishing your goals a lot faster, and find yourself doing more of what you want to do rather than things you have to do.

They are committed. When it takes more than six months to accomplish a goal, people who are committed will stay the course to the very end. Most people want their goals accomplished in a week. Yes, there are short term goals; however, I am talking about long term goals. When you have a long term goal it can get a little overwhelming when things don't seem to be moving as fast as you would like. However, taking the time to see the big picture will help you stay focus and keep you motivated.

Whatever goal you are looking to accomplish, take these 4 qualities and incorporate them into your action plan. If you have found yourself starting something and never finishing it, look into getting a coach, or mentor to help you stay on course.

3 Proven Ways To Build Self-Esteem

When someone thinks of a person with self-esteem most people think of someone who has a positive attitude. While someone who generally has self-esteem could have a positive attitude, this is not what I am referring to.

Having self-esteem is when you have a high regard for yourself, when you value who you are. In other words, having self-esteem is when you have respect for yourself. Do you believe and give yourself credit for the small successes you have each day?

If you find yourself down a lot and have a hard time feeling good, you may be dealing with low self-esteem. Below you will find 3 ways to build your self esteem.

Give credit where credit is do: When you accomplish a particular task give yourself credit for doing something successfully. It may be something as small as thanking someone for something. That is a success because you acknowledge something that someone has done for you. So, give yourself credit for the things you do. I bet if you really thought about it, you do a lot of successful things throughout the day. Start giving yourself credit for that.

Say good things to yourself: When you accidentally drop or spill something, what are the first words out of your mouth? If the words dummy, idiot, stupid, or any other negative words come out of your mouth, try not reacting to the situation. Take a deep breath and move on knowing we all have accidents. The point here is not to react to the situation. Give yourself a break, think good thoughts about yourself, and don’t forget to laugh.

Accept the good in you: Just like giving yourself credit for the success you have each day, acknowledge the things you know how to do well. There are things you can do better than anyone. If you gave it some thought you can come up with a number of things you do well. What are some of the things you do well? Think about it, and when you do, write them down. So, the next time you are feeling down go back to the list you made and accept the good in you.

Building your self-esteem is going to help you take bigger risks and have a more fulfilling life. With a high self-esteem, you can accomplish anything. You will find yourself sticking with your goals, and taking on any challenge that comes your way. Building self-esteem does take time; however, anything that is going to help you live your life to the fullest is worth it. Try finding someone who can help you along the way, a friend, a mentor, or even a coach. You can do it, I know you can!

How To Discover Your Passion and Live Your Dreams

My friend Tellman Knudson of ListCrusade.com recently interviewed Janet and Chris Attwood about "The Passion Test."

What is the Passion Test?

First let me tell you a little about Janet and Chris.

Janet Attwood is a master communicator, who regularly works with amazing people like Robert Allen, Mark Victor Hansen, Jack Canfield, and many other incredible personalities.

Chris Attwood is an expert in the field of personal development. While head of several major corporations, he's personally responsible for selling millions of dollars of consulting, training and products to companies like Dell Computer, Ford Motor Company, Sprint, and others.

Once married to each other, Janet and Chris are now successful business partners.

(Note: To access the Attwood’s complete audio interview for free, see end of article)

I think it's important to mention that just the fact they're now friends and working partners is AMAZING... How many divorced couples do you know that can do that?

My congratulations to both of them. They're a true example of what exes are capable of. They've healed and grown, integrated change and moved forward in their lives.

Together, Janet and Chris combine a unique blend of spirituality and practical, useful knowledge that you can put to use immediately. Their passion and focus is supporting people, in every part of the world, in knowing their personal greatness.

Now, back to the interview:

So, what is the Passion Test? And how will it help you?

Here's a good analogy that'll help you understand how the Passion Test works.

Remember when you were a kid and your mom took you to the eye doctor? The doctor would place a huge, strange-looking machine in front of your eyes, so he could figure out which lenses would help you see better?

You were supposed to be able to see the letters across the room on the wall. He would test many lenses against each other on each eye.

"Is this better, or this one," he would ask.

You would pick the one you could see clearer with.

He would do this with a infinite number of lenses, it seemed like. (You were a little kid!)

Finally, the doctor would come up with the best set of lenses for your eyes! 20/20--Perfect vision!

Well, the passion test is quite similar… You write down your top 5 passions in your life. And by comparing each passion against each other, you'll quickly discover which are your top 5 passions.

I took the passion test myself and I was surprised to discover That the passion I thought was my #1 passion was, in reality, my #4 passion.

And what is the benefit of this, you ask?

"CLARITY." Clarity of VISION… When you clarify what your passions are and their order of importance, it's 100% easier to achieve them.

Because then, every time you're faced with a choice, you can opt in favor of your top 5 passions! It's that simple!

Julia Child said: "Find something you're passionate about and keep tremendously interested in it."

The surefire way of "keeping tremendously interested in it," starts by taking the Passion Test.

It's a simple, powerful tool to start living your dreams.

Your happiness is based on how closely your current life and career are aligned with your top passions.

Helping you get clarity on what turns you on, what you love in your life, and what will make your life ideal is the purpose of the Passion Test.

So I urge you to listen to Janet and Chris Attwood's complete interview.

You can get access to the interview, plus audio lessons from
51 other self-help and marketing experts, at: ListCrusade.com

I don't have to tell you that it'll be life changing.

I've listened to it 5 times. It's that good!

Every time I replay it, I get a deeper understanding of what it means to follow my passions.

The more you follow your passions, the closer you will be to the life of your dreams.

Focus On Your Successes

As you are on your way of accomplishing your goals, you may sometimes find yourself not progressing as you would like.

One way to keep you moving forward is to think about the successes you have had in your life. When you begin to think about your successes, you will begin to think about things that make you feel good, and when you are feeling good you are going to keep moving forward towards your goal(s).

Go ahead and make a list of all the successes you have had in your life. Write down every success, no matter how small they were. It can be anything. Just be sure to really think about all the successes you have had. The more the better.

Once you have completed this, make copies of it, and place them where ever you spend most of your day. Keep it in a place where you can easily reach for it when you need that extra boost of motivation.

Try it. It has worked wonders for me, and I believe it can help you moving forward towards your goals.
